| Hi, Overview FireTricks will be holding its fire spinning weekly workshops starting on Sunday the 19th of April 2009 (2:00pm – 5:00pm). This 4-week workshop course will cost a total of $140.00. If you bring a friend you can both receive $20.00 off the total cost. After the four weeks the lessons will continue for another two weeks at a cost of $35.00 per session. These extra two lessons are in case you couldn’t make one week because of personal commitments. If you missed a lesson this means the catch up are free. We also welcome students to continue with the workshops even if they have completed the previous four weeks. Workshop Details
Firetricks holds workshops with 2/3 teachers. Each of these teachers specializes in each type fire spinning equipment. These include; · Single Staff · Poi · Double Staff · Contact Staff · Juggling The lessons are split into groups using the same equipment. Spinning fundamentals will be taught in a group structure with the teacher also providing personal 1 on 1 training. These lessons are only for those who really want to learn the art of fire spinning or refine their current skills. Single StaffWe recommend using a fire staff for lessons, practice staffs just don’t have the feel or weight of a real fire staff. Send me your height in cm and I will order you the best sized single staff for you. You can also choose between 50mm wicks and 100mm wicks. Color : Depending on available stock. A contact staff is designed with contact moves in mind, so learning on a normal fire staff is not recommended. The good news is; if you buy a contact staff you can use it in the normal single staff lessons and the weight will give you a great workout. Send email if you want to order a contact staff, these are made to order. Height / Wick Size ect all specialized Double StaffIt is recommended to have pixie (short) double staffs for our workshops. Learning the techniques with oversized double staffs is difficult but not impossible. If you already have a set of long double staffs, this is something to consider. These are material poi, with no tails (to get tangled) they are soft at the ends so they don’t hurt when learning new moves. VERY IMPORTANT! Learning new poi moves with fire poi is a painful experience. Once you have learnt the move with practice poi transferring it to fire poi is easy!
