Hey Shonnie! Long time no speakie. Just got back from Uber Oz, still pumped!

Its been a while since your message, and longer still since I saw you last. Have you managed to find any groups out your way? I remember traveling was a bit of a problem for you.

I've met a couple groups thou.

Shelly Beach - They meet every sunday night (during the summer, or when it gets warmer) around 7ish. Shelly Beach in Manly (northern beaches) thats a trek for you thou! Its worth it. Lovely location on the beach, fun people with drummers and stuff. Very touristy.

North Sydney - This is the little group I started which has grown considerably. Every friday at 7:30pm under the north part of the harbour bridge (right next to Luna Park). Nice central location. Unbeatable view of the harbour! Very close to central sydney.

Glebe Park - Every thursday at 9pm these guys twirl. All great mates, came with me upto Uber on the weekend! Lotsa fun. Probably the best skilled twirlers in sydney. Though of course pale to the standard your used to.

I've met a bunch of people who dont twirl regularly anymore, but do shows and stuff. Mostly from scattered groups around the place. But none out your way.

I live in Berowra, so everywhere is a trip for me too!

What have you been up to? I missed uber oz this year... what did you pick up there?

Yarp, its been a while!

Well this was my first Uber, had a fantastic time. It was great to finaly see what firetwirling was all about.

As far as learning... wow. For starters I gained a much better understanding and feel for contact staff and all the 'basic' moves, and was able to make a start at the matrix. Woop.

With doubles meg showed us her famous anitspins and isolations. So im really aiming to get a feel for them sometime soon. They still blow my mind thou.

But yeah, it was great to meet everyone and learn from people who have the drive to learn and perfect the art. *bitchs about people in sydney*
