I did a drop-bite, like you said, but the flame was minuscule, so it wasn't exactly anything impressive or anything. I'll get there one day though...

drop bites take time, some of my most serious fire eating burns come from drop bites, so starting slowly is a good idea. Transfers are another kettle of fish, playing around with different fuels is one of the key things to learn regarding transfers, but before you leap ahead there is something else you should learn called a volcano (these are lots of fun)

put the flame in your mouth and "mouth" it by lightly pressing the flame beween your toungue and the roof of your mouth. then extinguish while exhaling only slightly so that the ignited vapour from the fire pops up. from that move you can do a vapour transfer also known as a volcano transfer.

no, i dont. a candle is lit fumes coming out of your mouth, whereas a volcano is a puff ball of lit vapour that extends from your mouth
